Say hello to the trendy shoulder pad tank! I don’t think it’s going anywhere for a while and I’m not mad about it. Who doesn’t love a fun twist on a basic? Wear it alone or under a fun jacket or cozy cardigan sweater.
I knew I wanted to tuck this tank in denim so it felt like a good time to break out the black skinny jeans. It’s still over 100 degrees in Arizona but these jeans gave me the Fall feels.
Slides are a great transition shoe since they are still open enough that your feet can breathe, but not as Summery as a sandal. I especially love this caged and embellished style by Alexander Wang. I found them on The Real Real (consignment) and you can search on the site to see if they have a pair in your size. I did a blog post featuring similar styles not too long ago that has all the details as well.
Back to the tank! Have you already snatched up one of these? I purchased grey and white but I think I need black too. The one I’m wearing is under $20 and comes in an assortment of colors. It’s hard to choose! I’m wearing a M but ordered a S in the white since it runs a little generous.
You can shop my full look HERE. Follow me (STYLINGBYERICA) on the free LIKEtoKNOW.it shopping app so you can instantly shop my looks whenever I post! You can also shop this tank and more on my Amazon page.
I hope everyone is having a fun and safe holiday weekend!
I have some exciting news for all of you @grayson lovers! I have a new discount code for you that does not have an expiration date. What-whaaaaat?! I know. Starting now, use code ERICAREID when you shop Grayson shirts and receive $25 off of your order! You can shop all Grayson collections HERE .
If you’ve been following me on Insta for the last 6 months you know I love these shirts. I talk about them all the time. I’m always trying to show you different ways to syle them so you see how to maximize your cost per wear. Investment pieces should be versatile and this one is well worth it. The size chart on their website is so helpful. I’m wearing a size 02 in all of my shirts but you could also size up for an oversized look.
Today I’m showing you a third way to style the same Grayson tissue button up and shorts I’ve shown you earlier this week. 🙂 You can shop my look HERE. With these three styling options all I did is change out accessories and shoes and it gives the outfit a totally different look. (To see the other two check out my Instagram!) Change it up even more by adding a jacket (blazer, denim or leather) and switching up hairstyles. I love to see how you style your favorite finds from my posts! Email or DM me a photo and I’ll feature you in my stories or in a post!
I just shared some photos on my Instagram wearing my favorite puff sleeve dress, but I wanted to put it on the blog as well because I love it so much. Its a style that flatters most everyone and is so comfortable and easy to dress up or down.
I’ve been really in to sneakers with dresses lately. Have you tried it? I’ve always been a dress girl and before kids I could easily wear heels whenever, but now I need comfort and ease when I’m with them. Mamas, you don’t have to sacrifice style with kids, you can still wear your cute dresses! All you need to do is style them differently. Throw on your comfy sneakers, a baseball hat and your fanny pack, then when its time for date night or girls night throw on those sexy heels, grab a clutch and you’re good to go!
My dress is from Zara a year ago, but I found a very similar style and a couple of other options that are just shorter. These would be really cute with boots for Fall/Winter! I’ve linked everything and you can shop my look HERE.
Your search for the perfect button-up with no gapping is over. The Hero Shirt was engineered for women, by a woman. Audrey McLoghlin, the founder of Grayson saw an opportunity to reinvent this classic wardrobe staple for women and she nailed it. From fit to feel, comfort to quality…it’s everything you are looking for. I have a lot of button-ups in different styles because there are so many ways to wear them and they are timeless. That said, until Grayson I had never owned one as comfortable and lightweight that gives me as much versatility.
When someone from Grayson emailed me in February and asked if I would like to try a sample shirt, I of course said “yes, please”. I’ve been hooked ever since. What I love even more is that the founder is passionate about building a company by women, for women. She had a decade of experience in luxury shirting, so she knows whats up.
So lets talk styling this classic wardrobe staple. Are you sassy? Or simple? As a mom, I’m both, but I prefer sassy & bold. 😉 I’ve shown you both a sassy and a simple way to wear the same shirt below. If you follow me on Instagram you know I love these shirts and style them every which way. Sporty, chic, as swim cover-up…tucked in, half tucked, tied, loose over a dress, etc. Make sure you follow me @stylingbyerica and @grayson to keep seeing ways to style the Hero Shirt and to stay in the know about sales and giveaways. On that note, who else besides me loves a discount code?! I mean, hopefully everyone. When I recently discovered ELISAMAMA on Instagram {@elisamamakids} I instantly fell in love with the vibrant colors, prints and styles of their clothing. I wanted to learn more about the brand so I spent some time reading everything on their website. I knew I had to reach out to this shop about collaborating. I sent a message and had a wonderful conversation with Fisayo, the founder of ELISAMAMA. It was an instant connection and I am honored to be highlighting her brand. Not only does ELISAMAMA create beautiful clothing, but there is a social goal and a real purpose behind the brand. I shared their purpose video at the end of this post as I think its so important to hear Fisayo’s voice, see the makers of the clothing, and truly get a sense of their work.
The business funds their social goals. “All our items are handmade in Nigeria and through that, our team members are able to earn consistent income to support themselves and their families.” As a business and knowing this is what funds their goals, ELISAMAMA is committed to offering high value products. “Every ELISAMAMA item is designed with 3 goals in mind: Comfort, Function and Style.” As a mama who put my five year old daughter in one of these dresses, I can say they nailed all three of these goals. I washed it & hung it to dry before she wore it. It washed well and dried with no wrinkles and the fabric remained very soft. Emma ran around the yard, danced and played in triple digits and the dress was comfortable, moved well and it will grow with her since the straps are adjustable {you can tie the bow as loose or as fitted as you like to make the dress fit your child perfectly}. Shop Emma’s dress HERE!
I have always loved buying dresses for Emma since she can wear them for so long. As they start to get smaller/shorter you just add some leggings or biker shorts underneath. Also, I love jumpsuits for myself and my daughter! Combining comfort and style that can be dressed up or down, and made to play in, what’s not to love? Make sure you shop the super cute jumpsuits as well!Yesterday I did a Instagram live Q&A with Fisayo and you can watch the video from my Instagram feed HERE. It was so fun to talk with her “face to face” for the first time! She shared what inspired her to start ELISAMAMA, how she chooses her fabrics, what they are planning to add to the collection, and how they’ve been impacted by COVID-19. The best way you can support the brand and their efforts in Nigeria right now is to spread the word about ELISAMAMA, and shop. We need to get the word out there that this amazing brand exists and as we do that more people will start shopping from them. When this happens it will allow them to continue to provide work and incomes for women and men in Nigeria. Each garment is handmade with love and the clothing truly speaks for itself. Follow @elisamamakids on Instagram and ELSIAMAMA on Facebook.
I don’t know about you, but puff sleeves always put me in a better mood in addition to elevating a look. They are playful but also add a bold touch to a simple outfit. Wear with shorts or jeans, pair with a skirt or trousers for the office, even get sassy by pairing with biker shorts and sneakers on the weekend. No matter what your personal style is, you can incorporate puff sleeves in to your wardrobe and make them your own.
This top is Prologue from Target like a year ago, and I thrifted these shorts from Goodwill a year ago as well. All of my accessories are from Amazon {per usual these days – such great finds} and I’m wearing my go to mules that I have in two colors, also from Amazon. You can shop my exact accessories and shoes, plus some really cute and similar puff sleeve tops and denim shorts on the LIKEtoKNOW.it shopping app {super easy to download if you don’t have it already}! I’m @stylingbyerica on the app. Check out all of my LTK posts here.

If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen in my stories or feed that I am highlighting black owned businesses/brands and working on more collaborations and partnerships with black owned brands {especially female owned}. This is one way that I can show my support and put action behind my words. I’ve been making purchases from different shops that I follow and sharing in my stories {more to come in my feed} and encouraging followers to try the products as well.
As most of you know, I am an Amazon Influencer. Me and my husband have been shopping on Amazon for years so it made sense. I mainly share fashion and beauty finds on Instagram, but my idea lists on my Amazon Page go far beyond that. I have lists you can shop for Men, Kids, Kitchen, Grocery, Home and more. That said, I am on a mission to find black owned brands that sell their products on Amazon. I’ve already started adding products to my lists {by category} and I will continue to search and add. I have also created a new idea list titled ‘Black Owned Brands’ where I will add one product from each black owned brand I find to make it easy for you to search {in addition to adding them to the specific category lists}. Shop it here.
Do you know of any not shown above? Please let me know! You can comment here or email me: Info@StylingByErica.com.
Side note: If you are new to shopping Amazon Fashion…when you see an image on one of my Idea Lists, don’t assume that’s the only style/color/print of the item. When you click on the image there are usually multiple colors/prints/versions of the style that you can shop.
It’s already full on Summer in Arizona with temps in the triple digits. I’m starting to stock up on swimsuits and cover ups since you can’t have too many living here! That said, I want to keep it budget friendly as well since I like to have options. 🙂
I love this neutral floral print kimono cover up I found on Amazon Prime for $16.99 and its finally back in stock! I got this suit from Lulu’s last year but its still available and I found a very similar style on Amazon as well. I’ve linked everything I’m wearing at the bottom of this post.
If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw my post this morning about presets. I used the ‘Fashion Lady’ preset from @nickypresets for these images. You can browse and shop the preset collections HERE and use code ‘erica20’ for 20% off!
I LOVE bodysuits and you guys have been loving the orange and denim I’ve been showing lately; so I wanted to give you the links for this look here as well since LTK doesn’t link Zara pieces. I want one of every bodysuit from Zara in every color, for real! I’m wearing a medium in both of mine for reference. This style fits larger than the one in my previous post, but they are both stretchy.
I have a hard time with jeans and generally prefer dresses, so when I find a pair I love I wear them on repeat. Josiah also likes me in jeans, so it’s fun to put together date night looks with denim. 🙂 I was sold on the wash of these jeans, then I tried them on and they were so comfortable! Wash + fit/comfort + under $50 price tag = WIN! I think a bodysuit always pairs well with denim and its fuss free since there no tucking, bunching, etc. Make it sexier with a plunging neckline or open back. For date night I always add heels to complete my look, but this look would also be cute with sandals or sneakers. These Old Navy jeans are currently 30% off! They are seriously comfy and have just enough stretch to be bearable during the hot desert months. Outfit links at the bottom of this post!
