Happy hump day friends!

Last week I showed you just a handful of ways to wear a long, cozy cardigan sweater. This week I’m showing you a few ways to style a shorter, slightly oversized turtleneck sweater. It may not be oversized on everyone, but I bought a size medium to have more room. I like this style of sweater to be more loose.OUTFIT DETAILS

Aubrey Ivory Luxy Turtleneck Sweater {I’m wearing a medium}

Retro Vintage Tinted Lens Cat Eye Sunglasses {I’m wearing the glossy black}

Simone Knit Beret

Hellloooooo Friends!

It has been way too long. If I’m being totally honest, life with two little kids is just straight up exhausting. Don’t get me wrong, it’s amazing and I’m crazy in love with my little humans, but it takes it out of me most days. I crave my own creative time, but at the end of a 12-14 hour day as a stay at home mom, I just kinda want to watch an episode of something mindless and call it a night. It’s a terrible habit, but the struggle has been real. Can anyone else relate?

All that aside, I’m really excited to have teamed up with an online shop that has great finds at an affordable price point. I’m even more excited to share my favorite finds with you and show you multiple ways to wear each piece. As a wardrobe stylist, I always tell my clients that versatility is key and you have to be able to think of at least three ways to style every piece you purchase. With simple wardrobe staples, the possibilities are endless if you play with accessories.

Fall is in full effect, sweater weather {yesss}, and one of my favorite new sweaters is this ultra soft, super cozy cardigan {with pockets} from MOMOSHOP FASHION! Bonus: it comes in three colors and is under $70. Did I mention you save 30% when you shop and use my code ERICA30? The Momoshop Fashion team is so generous!

Here’s just a few ways to style this cozy sweater. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen most of these images, but stay tuned because I’ll be wearing this with everything and showing you lots more outfit ideas!OUTFIT DETAILS

Black Skinny Jeans {size down, they have a lot of stretch}

So it’s been a while, again. I know! I struggle with consistency when it comes to this blog. I’m constantly debating whether or not I should just close it up and never blog again. Comparison will do this. I can come up with a million reasons why mine is total crap compared to so many that I follow, including friends. I don’t have a good camera {I generally use my phone}, I don’t have any editing software or a fancy laptop, it’s just me sharing humble photos and thoughts. It’s the online journal I’ve never been good at keeping up with. But ya know what? I enjoy it when I do post. I love style, styling and helping others in any way that I can. That said, I’m not going to make promises I can’t keep and say I’ll be posting “x” amount of times a week, but I will say that I’m going to stick around for now. Even if it’s just for me and Emma to go back and look at down the road. If you do follow me when I post, thank you! I hope you’ve found some inspiration. Now here’s the latest.  🙂

 I am 24 weeks pregnant…and feeling it! This baby boy never stops moving. Yep, we are having a BOY! Eek!!

Saturday I went out for lots of girly fun with one of my favorite babes. We started the day with coffee, doughnuts and badly needed pedicures; then met up again later for a delicious dinner at Josephine in 12 South, followed by Cinderella at the ballet. There isn’t much that beats a good girls night! It gets a little trickier to dress exactly how you want with a rapidly growing baby bump and swelling feet, especially in the Nashville heat. September is still a hot month here. I wanted to feel light and flowy for the ballet and this Who What Wear for Target dress allowed me that breathing room. At the end of the day I chose a short heel for comfort, but with a touch of leopard to keep the sass. My fashionista friend, Muna {aka @moonsies}, never disappoints and she rocked a red For Love & Lemons dress with some gorgeous YSL shoes.

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! X

Since it’s “Throw Back Thursday” {aka TBT} today I’m sharing some photos from November, 2013. Whoa. That feels like forever ago! At the same time, these pieces don’t feel dated at all when I pull them out of my closet {which is often}. Classic, cozy basics are always stylish. Which pieces come to mind in your closet?

The weather has been quite chilly in Nashville, so for me this basic turtleneck has been on major repeat lately. Hope everyone is staying warm this Winter!

XO,

Erica

OUTFIT DETAILS:

Turtleneck | Thrifted {Perfect style Here for $19.99!}

Jeans | Gap {Newer version Here}

Faux Fur Coat | Found at Buffalo Exchange {Great Finds Here, Here & Here}

Heels | Nine West

Handbag | Alexander Wang

Shades | Forever 21 {Similar Here}

**SIDE NOTE: I found most of these pieces when I was on a tight budget, but basic staples are absolutely worth investing in. My handbag was a major splurge, but I’ve now had it for over 3 years and it still looks new. Choose your splurge pieces carefully, take care of them, and they will last you a lifetime.

CRAVING COAT WEATHER

Coat, Faux Fur, Leopard, style

I was going through my emails this weekend and stumbled upon these photos taken almost two years ago. I have never shared them before and decided to now since this is one of my favorite coats and I am so craving coat weather. I also miss this vintage couch but it was ridiculously uncomfortable!

A great leopard print piece always makes me happy and this faux fur coat was a steal at Buffalo exchange. I just so happened to find this coat for a great price, but this is also the kind of piece worth investing in. When it’s chilly you generally find yourself leaving your coat on most of the time so it’s just as important as what’s underneath. You will wear a good coat year after year, and can dress is up or down. X
