Hellloooooo Friends!

It has been way too long. If I’m being totally honest, life with two little kids is just straight up exhausting. Don’t get me wrong, it’s amazing and I’m crazy in love with my little humans, but it takes it out of me most days. I crave my own creative time, but at the end of a 12-14 hour day as a stay at home mom, I just kinda want to watch an episode of something mindless and call it a night. It’s a terrible habit, but the struggle has been real. Can anyone else relate?

All that aside, I’m really excited to have teamed up with an online shop that has great finds at an affordable price point. I’m even more excited to share my favorite finds with you and show you multiple ways to wear each piece. As a wardrobe stylist, I always tell my clients that versatility is key and you have to be able to think of at least three ways to style every piece you purchase. With simple wardrobe staples, the possibilities are endless if you play with accessories.

Fall is in full effect, sweater weather {yesss}, and one of my favorite new sweaters is this ultra soft, super cozy cardigan {with pockets} from MOMOSHOP FASHION! Bonus: it comes in three colors and is under $70. Did I mention you save 30% when you shop and use my code ERICA30? The Momoshop Fashion team is so generous!

Here’s just a few ways to style this cozy sweater. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen most of these images, but stay tuned because I’ll be wearing this with everything and showing you lots more outfit ideas!OUTFIT DETAILS

Mocha Brown Meredith Cardigan {I’m wearing a S/M}

Black Eyelash Lace Animal Camisole Top {I’m wearing a Medium}

White Cold Shoulder Knit Top {I’m wearing a Medium, but it has a lot of stretch}

Retro Vintage Tinted Cat Eye Sunglasses {I’m wearing the Glossy Black}

Black Skinny Jeans {size down, they have a lot of stretch}

Black Beret {comes in other colors}

Gold Chain Link Necklace

Belt Bag, no longer available but similar style here

Scarf, this print no longer available, but very similar here {from the same shop as mine}

*Black pants thrifted from Goodwill and vintage blue jeans from Old Made Good

Use my code, ERICA30 when you shop MOMOSHOP FASHION

X,

Erica

We can’t get enough of the cooler weather, especially since we have a front porch with a swing now! Em can still squeak in to her 6-12mth Spring dresses from Gap Kids since they run quite generous; so we are trying to get as much wear out them as possible by adding leggings for the season change. This woodland critters dress is one of my favorites! This outfit would also be adorable with a faux fur vest when it’s even cooler.

Who else loves how transitional dresses are for babes and adults alike?! We are forever dress girls. XOUTFIT DETAILS:

Dress | Gap Kids {from Spring}

Leggings | Cat & Jack

Scalloped Ballet Flats | Gap Kids {online code STYLE gets you 40% off right now!}

So it’s been a while, again. I know! I struggle with consistency when it comes to this blog. I’m constantly debating whether or not I should just close it up and never blog again. Comparison will do this. I can come up with a million reasons why mine is total crap compared to so many that I follow, including friends. I don’t have a good camera {I generally use my phone}, I don’t have any editing software or a fancy laptop, it’s just me sharing humble photos and thoughts. It’s the online journal I’ve never been good at keeping up with. But ya know what? I enjoy it when I do post. I love style, styling and helping others in any way that I can. That said, I’m not going to make promises I can’t keep and say I’ll be posting “x” amount of times a week, but I will say that I’m going to stick around for now. Even if it’s just for me and Emma to go back and look at down the road. If you do follow me when I post, thank you! I hope you’ve found some inspiration. Now here’s the latest.  🙂

 I am 24 weeks pregnant…and feeling it! This baby boy never stops moving. Yep, we are having a BOY! Eek!!

Saturday I went out for lots of girly fun with one of my favorite babes. We started the day with coffee, doughnuts and badly needed pedicures; then met up again later for a delicious dinner at Josephine in 12 South, followed by Cinderella at the ballet. There isn’t much that beats a good girls night! It gets a little trickier to dress exactly how you want with a rapidly growing baby bump and swelling feet, especially in the Nashville heat. September is still a hot month here. I wanted to feel light and flowy for the ballet and this Who What Wear for Target dress allowed me that breathing room. At the end of the day I chose a short heel for comfort, but with a touch of leopard to keep the sass. My fashionista friend, Muna {aka @moonsies}, never disappoints and she rocked a red For Love & Lemons dress with some gorgeous YSL shoes.

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! X

BECAUSE IT’S MY BIRTHDAY

BECAUSE IT’S MY BIRTHDAY…

I bought a new dress and lipstick,

I got my makeup done,

I rolled in balloons,

 I finished everyone’s steak at dinner.

I am officially 34. THIRTY- FOUR!!!! I’m not sure how adulthood is flying by so quickly, but I think it’s safe to say that our move to Nashville almost 2 years ago, a house purchase/project, and a 10 month old baby played a part. Ha!

This year I got spoiled by my girlfriends with a night out for my birthday, while my loving husband stayed home with baby Emma. We did all the best girly things…drank bubbly, nibbled on macarons, went to a nice French spot {Le Sel} for dinner, played in a sea of balloons, took polaroid pics, and laughed a lot. Does it get any better?!

This was such a treat and allowed me to really enjoy the day. It’s taken a while because my birthday was forever changed 2 years ago when I miscarried our first baby. Yes, it happened on my birthday. Now April 26th will forever be bitter sweet. The experience reminded me how important it is to truly celebrate life. Last year my baby shower was a week before my birthday, and this year I get to hold my precious baby girl while we celebrate.

Thank you to my dear friends, Bethany and Muna, for planning such a memorable evening. Love you babes forever! X

We are over the moon to be collaborating with Little Sapling Toys {@littlesaplingtoys}! When I first discovered them on Instagram I instantly fell in love. I am not a fan of the basic plastic, unattractive baby toys. The materials aren’t quality and they look unpleasant when scattered around your home. Little Sapling Toys offers fun, attractive, unique and personalized toys that your little ones {and you} will love. Emma’s first wooden toy was the personalized diamond teether I ordered her from LST. She loves it and everywhere we go people comment on how cute it is, how they love the wood, the personalization, and of course they ask “where can I get one?”.

There are so many fun teether designs available, but the teethers are just one of the unique collections to choose from. From rattles, to building blocks, to alphabet wall art, Little Sapling Toys has something for each stage of your child’s growth.

If the adorable designs and modern take on these classic toys hasn’t hooked you already, this brand gets even better! Little Sapling Toys believes in a healthy earth and they plant a tree for each toy sold. You can feel good about your purchase knowing that these toys are good for your babies health and development, as well as the earth.

Ready to shop & save? Use code ERICA10 to save 10% on your order for the entire month of April! Their toys make the perfect gift for any children’s occasion, especially with the option to personalize.

Since it’s “Throw Back Thursday” {aka TBT} today I’m sharing some photos from November, 2013. Whoa. That feels like forever ago! At the same time, these pieces don’t feel dated at all when I pull them out of my closet {which is often}. Classic, cozy basics are always stylish. Which pieces come to mind in your closet?

The weather has been quite chilly in Nashville, so for me this basic turtleneck has been on major repeat lately. Hope everyone is staying warm this Winter!

XO,

Erica

OUTFIT DETAILS:

Turtleneck | Thrifted {Perfect style Here for $19.99!}

Jeans | Gap {Newer version Here}

Faux Fur Coat | Found at Buffalo Exchange {Great Finds Here, Here & Here}

Heels | Nine West

Handbag | Alexander Wang

Shades | Forever 21 {Similar Here}

**SIDE NOTE: I found most of these pieces when I was on a tight budget, but basic staples are absolutely worth investing in. My handbag was a major splurge, but I’ve now had it for over 3 years and it still looks new. Choose your splurge pieces carefully, take care of them, and they will last you a lifetime.
